These terms set out how the Easy Tax Refunds UK service works, what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you. By using our service, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as clear as possible — if anything is unclear, ask us before you agree to proceed.

1. The service

Easy Tax Refunds UK is an independent tax refund service. We check whether you may be owed a refund of overpaid income tax and, where you instruct us to, prepare and submit a refund claim to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on your behalf. We are not HMRC and are not affiliated with any government body. You are always free to claim directly from HMRC yourself at no cost.

2. The free eligibility check

Checking your eligibility is free of charge and places you under no obligation. No fee of any kind is payable unless and until you expressly agree to proceed with a claim and that claim results in a refund.

3. Our fee

• There are no upfront fees, no administration fees, and no hidden charges of any kind.
• The fee is deducted from the refund before the balance is paid to you — you never pay anything out of your own pocket.
• You will be told the exact fee in writing before you agree to proceed.

4. If a claim is unsuccessful

If HMRC determines that no refund is due, you pay nothing. Our fee only ever applies to money actually recovered for you.

5. Your cancellation rights

You may cancel at any time before a claim is submitted to HMRC, at no cost, by messaging us on WhatsApp. Once a claim has been submitted and a refund issued, our fee applies to that refund as agreed. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including any applicable cooling-off period under UK consumer law.

6. Your responsibilities

• Provide information and documents that are accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
• Tell us promptly if any of your details change during a claim.
• Only submit documents that relate to you (or that you are legally authorised to provide).

7. Our responsibilities

• Handle your information confidentially and securely, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Tell you the outcome of your eligibility check honestly, whether or not a refund is due.
• Keep you informed of the progress of your claim.

8. Liability

We will carry out the service with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for delays or decisions made by HMRC, or for outcomes caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided to us. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
